Google has unveiled the Android 12 Go Edition, which will be available on additional devices as Android 12 becomes more widely available. According to the business, when the operating system for low-cost smartphones is released in 2022, it will make your phone up to 30 percent quicker. According to Google, this is in addition to the 20 percent improvement Google achieved before with Android 11 Go Edition. The business claims that it has also improved the smoothness of the launch animations.

If you’re running out of space, a new update of the operating system enables you to save battery and storage capacity by hibernating applications that you don’t use very often. Also available is the Files Go tool, which allows you to delete anything and then restore it safely after 30 days. A new version of Nearby Share, which enables you to move applications across devices while saving data, is now available. Aside from that, if you ever need to translate a website, you can now do so much more quickly, thanks to a recently introduced shortcut that can be found on the recent apps interface.

Additionally, the Android 12 Go Edition is focused on security features and speed improvements. The privacy dashboard introduced in Android 12 will be included in the Go Edition. You may use it to check all of your applications’ permissions and deny them as necessary.

You’ll also be able to see whether or not your phone’s microphone or camera is turned on due to new privacy indicators that appear on the status bar. Additionally, the update will enable you to restrict applications’ use to your location to your approximate position rather than your precise location.

And if you ever need to provide someone access to your smartphone, you can now do so right from the lock screen by creating a temporary guest account. Android Go Edition 12 will immediately restore your phone to its default settings when they’re finished.

Google also revealed that more than 200 million individuals worldwide are using an Android Go Edition smartphone. Considering that Go Edition has only been available since 2017, this isn’t too bad.
